Abstract
A new fossil dinoflagellate cyst Nematosphaeropsis downii sp. nov. is described from Miocene sediments encountered in Leg 80 of the Deep Sea Drilling Project. The age range of this species is restricted to the Early Miocene on available evidence.Keywords
