Construction of the Fermi Surface from Positron-Annihilation Measurements

Abstract
It is shown how the Fermi surface of metals and intermetallic compounds can be obtained from the two-dimensional angular correlation of positron-annihilation radiation. Results are given for both vanadium and Si. The Fermi surfaces are compared with the results of band-structure calculations.
