Results of a survey of the parasite fauna of fish from Lake of the Woods and adjacent lakes are presented. Over 600 fish representing 41 species were examined, and 170 species of parasites, mostly helminths, are recorded. Every species of fish and 97% of all fish examined carried at least one parasite. No parasites considered hazardous to human health were found. A number of parasites, reported elsewhere as contributors to fish mortalities, are recorded.
