Higher order modes in non-sinusoidal volume phase holograms

Abstract
It is shown with the aid of analytical approximations and numerical calculations that the amplitudes of higher order modes in a volume phase hologram (thick phase grating) are only marginally affected by harmonics in the permittivity modulation.Keywords
