Abstract
We review and interpret some of the recent data from LEAR, Brookhaven, and KEK on low and medium energy interactions of antinucleons (N̄) with nucleons (N). Our emphasis is on elastic and charge exchange scattering, total cross sections, and studies of N̄N annihilation, with particular focus on the emerging evidence for broad resonances and/or bound states of the N̄N system and the selection rules which reveal the quark‐gluon dynamics of the annihilation process. Keywords
