Abstract
We report a dispersed fluorescence spectrum obtained for excitation of a ∑+u–∑+g vibronic band of C3 at 33 588 cm−1, part of a newly discovered electronic system. Rotationally resolved stimulated‐emission‐pumping spectra of jet‐cooled C3 using this ∑+u intermediate state are presented for dumping to the 0v121 (1≤v2≤13) and 6v121 (1≤v2≤5) levels in the 1Σ+g ground state. Vibrational term energies, rotational constants, and l‐type doubling parameters are determined for each level. Keywords
