Abstract
A review of nitrate therapy including a short summary of their physiological effects is presented. Both cardiac and non-cardiac indications are reviewed including esophageal spasm, spasm of bile ducts and urinary tract, Raynaud's disease, pulmonary hypertensive disorders, portal hypertension, bronchial asthma, and effect on arrhythmias.Keywords
