Abstract
We have measured the two-photon autocorrelation function of ultrashort CO2 laser pulses generated by optical free induction decay. The pulse duration was determined as a function of the pressure in the resonant absorber. At a pressure of 250-Torr 30-psec optical pulses were produced. Keywords
