Abstract
The global pinning force density is calculated for a superconductor containing dense and strong pins using a statistical method. The resultant pinning force density is proportional to an elementary pinning strength and obeys a linear summation. The obtained scaling law of the pinning force density coincides approximately with experimental results on irradiated Nb specimens. Quantitative agreements with experiments also seem to be satisfactory. Keywords
