Abstract
The synthesis of dihydrodeoxyepiallocernuine (IV) is described, as is the synthesis of the tricyclic compound XVI, a degradation product of lycocernuine. These syntheses provide a rigorous proof of the constitution of cernuine and lycocernuine, and also provide strong support for the stereochemistry assigned to these alkaloids. This publication has 5 references indexed in Scilit:
