Abstract
The zymorgraphs of blood esterase of 161 silkworm strains were studied under thin layer electrophoresis in agar gel. Four fundamental types of esterase were found, and they were controlled by codominant alleles, BesA: BesB, BesC and BesD. About 70% of the Japanese, Chinese and European races investigated were revealed to belong to A type and 20% to O type, while B type was found only in Chinese reace. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
