Abstract
The rationale of combining proximal gastric vagotomy with Nissen fundoplication in the treatment of reflux esophagitis due to hiatus hernia is discussed. The application of this procedure in 12 cases over a period of 4 yr is described and the results, with a follow-up of 13-48 mo., are reported. Of the 12 patients, 10 were completely relieved of their symptoms and 1 significantly improved. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
