Abstract
Stings by imported fire ants result in local reactions to the insect's venom; less frequently, they induce systemic allergic reactions. A 19-month-old child developed a characteristic localized cutaneous reaction at the sites of numerous stings after disturbing an ant mound. He experienced no secondary complications, and his pustular lesions resolved with conservative treatment. Keywords
