More on the Association of Dalbulus (Homoptera: Cicadellidae) with Mexican Tripsacum (Poaceae), including the Description of Two New Species of Leafhoppers1

Abstract
Seven species of Dalbulus leafhoppers, including two new species described herein, were collected from five Mexican gamagrasses, Tripsacum spp. Leafhoppers were D. maidis (DeLong and Wolcott), D. elimatus (Ball), D. guevarai DeLong, D. gelbus DeLong, D. tripsacoides DeLong and Nault, D. guzmani DeLong and Nault n. sp., and D. quinquenotatus DeLong and Nault n. sp. Four of these leafhopper species were also taken from maize and teosinte, Zea spp., close relatives of Tripsacum. We refine and expand our hypothesis that these leafhoppers have evolved with maize and its ancestors.
