Abstract
Chirped sampled fibre Bragg gratings have a dispersion that repeats itself periodically, and can thus be used for dispersion compensation over a broad bandwidth, or for multiple channels in WDM systems. The authors demonstrate dispersion compensation at two different wavelengths with such a grating in a 240 km fibre link using a 10 Gbit/s externally modulated laser source. Keywords
