Abstract
Observation is reported on 8 [male] schizophrenics subjected to prolonged periods of large oral doses of desiccated thyroid with the following results: Increase in B.M.R.; change in body weight; random variations in body temp.; increase in systolic pressure; decrease in diastolic; changes in pulse pressure; increase in pulse rate; decrease in circulation time; increased erythrocyte count; variation in blood sugar; relatively no variation in blood cholesterol; variation in blood and urine nitrogen; rise in creatine level. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
