Abstract
The incidence of epistaxis in 312 patients with facial fractures over a 5-year period is reviewed, finding the incidence of epistaxis to be 4 percent in all facial fractures and 11 percent (12 of 108) in midface fractures. Six of these required treatment with packing or transfusion, and two required surgery to control the epistaxis. The only other series reviewing epistaxis in facial fractures reported a similar incidence. Keywords
