Abstract
Three cases of multicentric and metastasizing carcinoid tumors originating in the terminal ileum were observed in two generations of a single pedigree. This kindred has been characterized by an overall frequency of malignant disease, multiple primary malignant neoplasms, and cancer developing at an early age. In rare cases the carcinoid tumor seems to present as a familial trait. Keywords
