Abstract
A 67 year old woman developed a severe adenoviral pneumonitis whilst receiving immunosuppressive therapy. She showed clinical and radiological evidence of a response to treatment with nebulised and intravenous ribavirin and intravenous pooled normal human immunoglobulin. To our knowledge this is the first time that such a therapeutic approach has been used in the treatment of a condition which normally carries a very high mortality. Keywords
