Abstract
A study has been made of the reactions of trisilylphosphine with protonic acids, phosphorus trihalides, silyl iodide, methyl iodide, iodine, sulphur, carbon disulphide, carbon tetrachloride, pentacarbonyliron, and pentacarbonyl-methylmanganese. No derivatives of PV nor any mono- or di-silylphosphorus derivatives were detected in the products; trisilylphosphine is found to be an appreciably weaker nucleophile than trimethylphosphine. Keywords
