Abstract
The thermopower and resistivity of a-Tl100-xTex have been measured in the temperature range 5-60 K for x<30. There is evidence in both measurements of an impending metal-insulator transition as the concentration of Te is increased. The data gives some support to recent predictions regarding the thermopower behaviour near a metal-insulator transition. Annealing curves are also presented. Keywords
