Abstract
SUMMARY: Evidence is presented that a strain ofPseudomonas putidaharbours a catabolic plasmid which encodes for the degradation ofp-cresol through the protocatechuateorthocleavage pathway. This plasmid can transfer giving approximately 10−3transconjugants per donor cell, can be cured with mitomycin C, belongs to the P-9 plasmid incompatibility group and can be transduced with the bacteriophage pf16.This publication has 22 references indexed in Scilit:
