Abstract
Reports the confessions of a psychasthenic. The patient confessed of having received strong religious impressions right from childhood and after a sexual encounter of which he was ashamed and guilt ridden, he was filled with morbidly fixed anxieties and fears which overpowered reason. It was concluded that mental analysis is the first step to abnormal and the first stage in morbid evolution. (PsycINFO Database Record (c) 2006 APA, all rights reserved)Keywords
