Abstract
Vascular complications cause serious morbidity in patients with diabetes mellitus. Two such complications are diabetic nephropathy and restenosis after percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty. There is currently scant evidence of a genetic marker that predicts which patients will have these complications. Keywords
