Abstract
SUMMARY: 1. The β‐adrenoceptor antagonists atenolol, metoprolol, acebutolol, practolol, propranolol and pindolol have been tested for their ability to reduce isoprenaline‐induced bronchodilation and tachycardia in the anaesthetized dog.2. Atenolol, metoprolol, acebutolol and practolol all possessed a similar degree of cardioselectivity in this animal model. Keywords
