Abstract
One of the agencies singled out for elimination in the recent spate of Congressional budget cutting was the National Center for Injury Prevention and Control (NCIPC), a part of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).1 Given the wide swath of the cuts under consideration, perhaps this relatively new center was just one more to get in the way of the congressional scythes.
