Abstract
This article reviews the effects of antiseptics, antimicrobials, hemostatic agents and surgical methods on the incidence of wound infection and the process of wound healing. A set of guidelines is provided to help decide what to apply topically to wounds and which method of wounding to select in order to achieve the best possible outcome in wound healing.Keywords
