Abstract
The sediments encountered in the Valhall bore No. 1, Scania (Skane), were examined palynologically. The microflora found was sparse and not well preserved. The palynomorph content of the samples examined was compared with other European microfloras of similar age. In the Valhall sediments 2 assemblage zones were differentiated (on the grounds of palynomorph content) and these were tentatively correlated with the known Rhaetipollis-Limbosporites and Pinuspollenites-Trachysporites Zones, which are of Middle Rhaetian and Hettangian age, respectively.
