Abstract
Dysphagia lusoria is due to esophageal compression by an anomalous right subclavian artery. Symptoms may not appear until late adult life. The subjective illness may be most disabling, but the internist can furnish satisfactory relief in some cases by detailed and sympathetic explanation of the abnormality. Experiences with 11 patients are discussed. Keywords
