Abstract
The measured ratios for , and production on two different nuclear targets as a function of the fractional momentum x of the final state are fitted well with a very simple functional form having three adjustable parameters. An empirical relation is found between the three parameters of the fit. These observations could guide the way to a deeper understanding of the nuclear effects involved. The deduced nucleon absorption cross sections cluster around two values of which only mb seems acceptable. Keywords
