Abstract

Using an electron trap apparatus, threshold electron energy-loss spectra for acetylene, propyne, but-1-yne and but-2-yne have been recorded. Electronic transitions ascribable to excitation of low-lying triplet states, and electron/molecule resonances are positioned in each molecule.
