Abstract
• To enhance diagnostic assessment in routine clinical care, the Munich Diagnostic Checklists have been developed for a systematic criteria-related evaluation of the most common psychiatric disorders according toDSM-III-R. Design, concept, and areas of application of the instrument are described. An initial test-retest study showed that satisfactory to excellent diagnostic agreement can be reached. Keywords
