Abstract
Analyses of gains in body wt. as well as of the chem. composition of the carcasses of rats, one group receiving 15% butter-fat and the other 15% corn (Mazola) oil in addition to a basal high vit. diet, showed that corn oil and butterfat were essentially equal in growth-promoting value. If the rats were fed ad libitum, the corn oil diet gave greater gains, due to preference and greater food consumption. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
