A Survey of Methods for the Preparation of Pyrrolopyrimidines

Abstract
This review covers various synthetic approaches to the pyrrolopyrimidine ring systems. The five main structural forms are discussed individually together with accounts of the syntheses, reactions, and transformations of some examples. A short account of the importance of these systems in pharmacology, biochemistry, chemistry, and industry is also given. 1. Scope 2. Pyrrolo[3,2-d]pyrimidines 2.1.
