La conjonctivite ligneuse

Abstract
The ligneous conjunctivitis is characterized by the development at the level of the palpebral conjunctiva of a ligneous induration, often proliferating and sometimes with a tumoral aspect, and in most cases of pseudo-membranes. It may be complicated by a corneal opacification with vascularization and accompanied by systemic manifestations especially of other mucosae. The etiology is unknown, although a genetic factor seems to intervene in some cases.
