CARTILAGINOUS TUMORS OF THE BASE OF SKULL

Abstract
Intracranial cartilaginous tumors are rare neoplasms, usually arising from the base of the skull. The clinical and roentgen findings of 3 chondromas arising in this area are reviewed. The differential diagnoses of these lesions depend primarily on their location.Bone destruction and calcification are noted frequently on roentgen examination of the skull. Angiography is helpful in demonstrating the size and location of the neoplasm and in showing its avascular nature.
