Abstract
Alterations in the electronic media are among the many changes that have taken place in Lebanon since the beginning of the civil war in the mid‐1970s. Prior to the war, the government was the only radio broadcaster and the two private television stations were government supervised. Since 1975, numerous unofficial stations have emerged to serve the various military, religious, and ethnic groups that are either participants in or victims of the fighting.
