Use of Nonsteroidal Anti-inflammatory Drugs and Incidence of Colorectal Cancer

Abstract
COLORECTAL CANCER is diagnosed in more than 130,000 individuals and results in 50,000 deaths each year, making it the second leading cause of cancer death in the United States.1 Despite the demonstrated efficacy of early detection programs in preventing mortality from colorectal cancer,2 most Americans do not receive appropriate colorectal cancer screening.3 Thus, the possibility of primary prevention of colorectal cancer by dietary, nutritional, or pharmaceutical interventions has great appeal.
