Parenchymal Weight of the Parathyroid Gland and the Kidney in Chronic Glomerulonephritis

Abstract
Autopsy cases of patients with glomerulonephritis were studied. The kidneys showed atrophy in varying degrees. Weight of the parathyroid glands increased because of proliferation of parenchyma. Weight of parathyroid parenchyma correlated negatively with weight of the kidney and volume density of tubules in renal cortex.
