Cultures of 1959 isolations of fungi were grown on 2% malt agar slants, then covered with sterile heavy mineral oil and incubated at 15[degree]C. The fungi included Actinomycetes (2 spp.), Phycomycetes (14), Ascomycetes (89), Basidiomycetes (626) and Fungi Imperfecti (122). After one year all were viable except 2 spp. of Pythium and Sebacina and one of Peniophora. After 2 years all were viable except Ashbya gossypii and Phallus sp.
