Abstract
Observation of 18O induced isotope shifts in the 13C n.m.r. spectra of asteltoxin derived from [1-13C, 18O2]acetate and 18O2 gas established the origin of the oxygen atoms and clarified the mechanism of the formation of the 2,8-dioxabicyclo[3.3.0]octane moiety.Keywords
