Abstract
A novel HLA-Cw*15, B7 haplotype has been found in Caucasians. Molecular cloning studies demonstrate that this haplotype is constituted by the new alleles Cw*15052 and B*0706, which seem to be intermediate steps in the diversification of their respective allelic families. A pathway for the evolution of Cw*15 alleles is proposed. Keywords
