Abstract
It is shown that interaction forces between two solitons in a circular fibre can be cancelled exactly by means of a reshaping of their envelope and a proper choice of their polarisation and relative phase. The resulting soliton bound state exhibits polarisation rotation at a rate that depends on the initial pulse separation. Keywords
