Abstract
Living isolated rabbit macro-phages have been used as a medium for the propagation of mammalian tubercle bacilli growing as intracellular parasites. Most antitubercular drugs tested showed a marked reduction in activity against intracellular bacilli. Isoniazid, however, was as active against intracellular bacilli as in the Dubos-Davis medium. Keywords
