Abstract

The properties of reactions

MB \to γ B^{*}

are discussed. In particular, the boundary of the physical region is closer to the pole than for other processes, and only initial-state interactions have to be included: The absorptive peripheral model is used to calculate the cross sections for the following cases:

π^{-} p \to γ n

K^{-} p \to γ Λ

K^{-} p \to γ {Y_{0}}^{*} (1405)
