The Poland Syndrome – Clinical and Genealogical Data, Dermatoglyphic Analysis, and Incidence

Abstract
Two patients (both males) are reported with the Poland syndrome: one, a dark mulatto, affected on the left side; the other, a Caucasian, affected on the right. Both are sporadic cases and have nonconsanguineous parents. Dermatoglyphic disturbances, similar in both of them, are described. Incidence is roughly estimated as 1/30,000. Som clinical and etiological aspects are discussed, and are furtherdocumented on the basis of a third case cited in the addendum.
