High Power Atomic Iodine Photodissociation Lasers

Abstract
The atomic iodine photodissociation laser has developed into a system capable of producing nanosecond or shorter pulses of near infrared radiation with energies well in excess of a hundred joules. Discussed are the operating characteristics, advantages, and potential problem areas associated with this laser.© (1976) COPYRIGHT SPIE--The International Society for Optical Engineering.
