Abstract
If the proportions of true cases in two populations are p1 and p2; and the probabilities of true cases and true non-cases being misclassified as non-cases and cases are 0 and O respectively, in both populations, then the reported difference in prevalence rates is (p1 - p2) (1 - [THETA] - [PHI]), which is always less than the true difference.
