Abstract
The bleeding time of rabbits treated with reserpine and heparin is prolonged, although neither drug prolongs the bleeding time when given alone. This effect of reserpine may result from its interference with the formation of a platelet plug, for platelets from rabbits receiving reserpine do not aggregate normally. The participation of platelets in blood coagulation is not impaired by reserpine. * Present address: Department of Surgery, Harvard Medical School, and the Surgical Services, Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, Mass. Keywords
