Abstract
A simple method of sweat collection is outlined. Two cases are described in which investigation of the sweat was helpful diagnostically. The results fall into 3 groups: sweat from children with fibrocystic disease containing salt in concentrations 2 to 4 times that of the concentration in the control group, and children with chronic pulmonary disease having a normal chloride concentration in the sweat but a high sodium value. There is no difference between the amino acid and urea concentrations in controls and children with fibrocystic disease. Keywords
